About this event
Manginga Collective DC’s monthly roda offers the public a doorway into Capoeira Angola, an Afro-Brazilian tradition shaped by Black resistance, creativity, and community. In the roda, movement, music, song, improvisation, and martial play come together as participants listen, respond, and create with one another. Newcomers are welcome to arrive at 11 a.m. for training before the roda begins. Come in comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes, ready to move, sing, play instruments, or simply experience this joyful and expressive living tradition.
