About this event
A hidden oasis at THEARC, our farm is home to a fruit orchard, mushroom logs, greenhouses and dozens of growing beds with vegetables, herbs and flowers. Every Tuesday we choose a spot that needs our attention to help the plants grow. One-time volunteers are fine, but if you join us every week and you’ll learn what grows well in our climate, what happens in each season, how to identify weeds, and lots more. We’re happy to take volunteers of all skill levels. If you’ve never gardened before-no problem! We’ll show you what to do. If you have lots of experience, we can give you more independence to do the activities that you do best.
We donate all the food we grow on Fridays to our community, so your work is making a difference. And you might be surprised to find how peaceful and satisfying it is to accomplish things with your hands while the birds chirp overhead.
All ages are welcome. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
If you would like to bring a large group to volunteer, please note we make those arrangements for groups that offer financial support.
Registration is HERE.
