About this event
JACL DC Chapter is hosting its annual Mochitsuki 2026 celebration on Sunday, December 6!
We’ll have Japanese bentos, handmade crafts, raffles, and kids’ craft activities available for purchase. To finish 2026 on a strong and festive note, we’ll also be making mochi the traditional way — using a usu (mortar) and kine (wooden mallet)!
Assorted bento boxes will be available for purchase on the day of the event; however, prices will be higher than those offered through pre-orders. We encourage you to pre-order your bento boxes and other food items to get the best pricing!
