Join us for a delicious afternoon celebrating Lao food, culture, and community! Cookbook author, chef, and content creator Saeng Douangdara is coming to Rice Market on Saturday, November 14th at 12:00-2:00PM and 1:00-3:00pm for a special event featuring a live cooking demonstration, a home-style Lao lunch, and a meet-and-greet and book signing of his cookbook, The Lao Kitchen!

Saeng will demonstrate how to make one of the fan favorites from his cookbook, nam khao (Lao crispy rice salad), sharing cooking tips, stories, and a little Lao kitchen magic along the way! And of course, we can't celebrate Lao food without eating some! Guests will enjoy a delicious, home-cooked-style Lao lunch featuring pork laab, sticky rice, steamed vegetables, and jeow (Lao dipping sauce). Just like a meal shared around the family table!

After lunch, stick around to meet Saeng, snap some photos, and get your cookbook signed! Already have a copy of The Lao Kitchen? Bring it along! Don't have one yet? Copies will be available for purchase at Rice Market.
