About this event
Join members of the Singles on Sailboats sailing club at our first-of-the-winter brunch with speaker Don Shomette. As an author, maritime historian, and archaeologist, Don will provide a fully illustrated lecture on the Pirates of the Chesapeake. From the first pirates of 1608 sailing aboard the vessel Swallow to the great sea battles with the Royal Navy, including the ravages of the picaroons, to the final days two centuries later, his tales promise to be engaging and informative. FYI: whatever the visible response is on this Meet Up site, you will be in company with 50+ SOS members -- come listen, socialize, learn more about our sailing club. 11:00 Social Hour 11:45 Brunch served 1:00 Program We will also have a collection for donations to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. To register: go to www.singlesonsailboats.org and scroll down to the Brunch registration link. Any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me.
