About this event
Register and join Baltimore Green Space at wildlife refuge Masonville Cove in South Baltimore (1000 Frankfurst Avenue) to commune with fellow stewards as the fall season begins to wind down! During the first hour, we will walk the Cove's Access Zone 1 as the dusk sets in to learn about the site's conservation history and current projects for wildlife and community alike as the first federally designed urban wildlife refuge, protected under an easement in the BGS land trust. Then we will gather inside the Masonville Cove Environmental Center for the second hour for a workshop on pollinator container gardening! Participants will select from native plants that can overwinter in a pot and take home a container garden from the event. Stewards of the container garden will be encouraged to overwinter it, swap out its dormant plants with plantings at their sites to divide and propagate, gift the container to a neighbor to teach them about pollinator gardening, and any other good ideas stewards may have. Registration required and capped at 30 due to limited materials! We hope to see you there.
Listed by Masonville Cove (Wix Events), gathered by the Bowie events calendar.
