Set in 1934 Budapest, She Loves Me follows Georg and Amalia, two co-workers at Maraczek’s Parfumerie who seem to have nothing but disdain for each other. What they don’t know is that they’ve both answered the same “lonely hearts” ad—and are falling in love with each other through their anonymous letters. A charming, romantic musical with a lush score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, She Loves Me inspired the beloved films The Shop Around the Corner, In the Good Old Summertime, and You’ve Got Mail.
