About this event

A Morning of Rest & Reflection, on Thanksgiving

A Gentler Yoga + Mini-Sound Bath Experience

Space to steady mind and body for whatever the day holds.

Optional quiet arrival fifteen minutes early

Make some space for your own wellbeing before the day gets going. We’ll move, breathe, and take some time to steady mind and body for whatever your day holds.

Come as You Are

You might be looking forward to gathering, missing someone, enjoying some quiet, feeling stretched or holding several things at once. With so much to do or feel, your own needs can get pushed aside. This is an hour to tend to yourself, just as you are.

Mindful Movement

Join Kathryn for gentle movement to ease into the morning and wake up the body. Explore comfortable strengthening, gentler movement, and supported rest, with clear guidance and options to bring more effort or ease to your practice.

Sound Bath Savasna

Find some rest in a live sound-bath savasana with gentle instruments and Kathryn’s soft singing. Her simple original songs carry messages of gentleness, non-judgment, presence, and community. There is no need or requirement to perform or share.

Practice small ways to pause, find support, and steady yourself—tools you can return to during a busy moment, a difficult conversation, or whenever you need a little space.

Optional early arrival for quiet reflection, journal

Come from 7:15 a.m. for optional quiet arrival, with simple journal prompts to help you notice what you need and consider what might support you through the day. Write, reflect, or simply settle in; no sharing is required. Everyone receives the prompts to take home and revisit, whether you arrive early or just for class. Included in your registration.

Beginner-friendly, with all-bodies-approach, chair and floor options.

What to expect

Quiet arrival & take-home reflection

Come early to journal, contemplate, or simply settle in—or arrive for the class itself. Printed prompts, writing paper, and pens are available. No sharing is required, and your writing stays private. Everyone receives reflection prompts to take home.

Parking & arrival

Ample parking is available at Yoga Barn. Arrive from 7:15 a.m. for quiet reflection, or a few minutes before the proposed 7:30 a.m. class start. Class ends at 8:30 a.m.

What to wear & bring

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in, with an extra layer and warm socks for rest. Bring a yoga mat, water, and any personal props or a small blanket you enjoy. Your own journal is welcome but not necessary. Yoga Mats and props are available at the Yoga Barn.

Supported rest with live sound

Savasana is a time for rest. You may sit or lie down, keep your eyes open, reposition, or step away. Gentle instruments, soft singing, and moments of quiet accompany this portion of class; singing along is never required. If you are sensitive to sound, speak with Kathryn beforehand about placement and options.

Make the morning your own

If you’d like more movement, consider a self-directed walk on the adjacent B&A Trail before or after class—brisk or easy, at your own pace and distance. Bring outdoor shoes and appropriate layers, and check weather and trail conditions. This is not a guided part of the class.

Supporting Togetherly's "Lotus in Time" Program for Women in Detention

Your registration helps fund Lotus in Time: A Yoga and Wellbeing Program , Togetherly Studios’ new program for women at Jennifer Road Detention Center in Annapolis, Maryland , launching November 13.

The program combines yoga, mindfulness, and practical wellbeing education to support self-directed personal growth, tools for steadying mind and body, and practices for daily life in detention and the transition back into community.

Kathryn volunteers her teaching time. Class revenue helps cover program development, supplies, learning materials, and paid Togetherly team planning and coordination.

Additional support is welcome through Venmo at class, but never expected.
