With snowy conditions continuing, Bowie residents may see higher energy bills as BGE said rates for electricity & natural gas will rise with increased usage; additional charges will take effect in February and extra demand from cold weather could push bills higher.

WSSC has asked customers in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties to use water only for essential purposes amid predicted breaks and leaks from cold weather.
The advisory, affecting 1.9 million customers, seeks to avoid a boil water order and ensure water remains available for fire protection.
