Prince George’s County leaders introduced a resolution on Tuesday to urge Gov. Wes Moore to declare a foreclosure moratorium for federal workers who lose their jobs—this measure would require lenders to work with homeowners instead of quickly starting foreclosures.
Council member Calvin Hawkins said the resolution aimed to address a potential mortgage crisis similar to one seen during a previous shutdown.
