County officials plan to transform the former Six Flags America site in Prince George’s County into a destination for shops, restaurants and entertainment instead of housing — an investment group including NBA star Kevin Durant will hold listening sessions to gather community ideas in six to eight months.

Prince George’s County will let Bowie residents help shape plans for the former Six Flags site, now owned by a team that includes Kevin Durant.
County Executive Aisha Braveboy said the public engagement process will begin in 30 & 40 days.
Prince George’s County is set to reimagine the 515-acre Six Flags site into a commercial destination after an investment group including Kevin Durant acquired the property; county officials want shops, restaurants, hotels and more instead of another housing development and plan to finalize details within 12 to 18 months.
