Off-duty Lt. Jeremy Ingraham of Prince George’s County police was arrested last weekend and charged with second-degree assault after he punched a bar employee at a D.C. bar around 5 p.m.—he is now suspended from duty.

Maryland lawmakers warned that a current budget proposal may cut NASA's research by half, affecting work at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center near the Beltway.
