- ➤ Maryland lawmakers warned that a current budget proposal may cut NASA's research by half, affecting work at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center near the Beltway. They met with Goddard leadership Monday and voiced concerns that the cuts could hurt American science – risking loss of engineering talent and vital training funds. WJLA
