Maryland DNR staff tranquilized a young black bear in Langley Park on Monday using a sedative dart and coaxed it down from a tree before tagging it for research—officials said the bear will be relocated to Western Maryland as young males are pushed out by their mothers.
Neighbors felt relieved to learn the bear was safely handled.
