County voters cast ballots Tuesday in a special election for a new county executive and District 5 council member in Prince George's County.
Ballots will be counted until June 13—winners are scheduled to be sworn in on Juneteenth.
Earlier this year, Six Flags America closed its 500 acre park in Prince George’s County and said it would market the site for redevelopment.
County officials urge swift action with community input as similar projects elsewhere have taken many years — a sign of the urgency to create a clear vision for the property.
