- ➤ Maryland State Police reported that Leroy Wedge, 43, died when an unknown vehicle struck him on Route 202 near Wood Branch Court Saturday morning—resulting in a three-hour highway shutdown as officers searched for the driver. WJLA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Seniors in District 8 now can access financial relief from a $5 million program funded by the MGM National Harbor Local Impact Grant to help pay for mortgage, rent, property tax and utilities — the program gives from $550 up to just over $2,000 based on need — and residents must sign up by August 31.
