James Gholson Middle School—where 500 backpacks were given out—and it has now partnered with local leaders to run a biweekly food drive at Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Camp Springs that started July 12 and will run for a year. - ➤ Lawyers for Abrego Garcia asked a federal judge on Tuesday to dismiss a human smuggling case against the Maryland construction worker, saying the government pursued him out of vindictiveness for challenging his removal to El Salvador—charges that stemmed from a 2022 traffic stop with nine passengers—while prosecutors offered no further comment.
