Tuesday, the Prince George’s County teachers’ union approved a new three-year contract with PGCPS with 96% support; the deal includes higher starting salaries, pay raises and immediate classroom safety plans — and it now goes to a Board of Education vote on Friday.
If approved, the contract will be retroactive to July 1 and last through fiscal year 2028.
