- ➤ Prince George’s County Council introduced two bills that aim to boost sit-down restaurants and limit fast food drive-thrus in residential areas. The proposals include tax incentives and fast-track permits for new dining establishments—while also imposing restrictions on fast food outlets in certain zones. WTOP
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Maryland has seen a rise in HFMD among children under 5, which causes fever, mouth sores and a rash—especially in daycares and schools where kids have developing immune systems. Doctors said the illness usually clears up in 7 to 10 days, and better reporting may partly explain the increase. WJLA
