- ➤ Today, Bowie State University unveiled a mosaic tile mural called Conversation by internationally recognized artist Victor Ekpuk at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Communication Arts Center to honor Dr. King and the school's rich history — the piece uses Nsibidi symbols to create a dialogue between classrooms and performance spaces. - ➤ Dr. Monique Alston, a Bowie High School graduate with over 25 years of nursing experience, was named chair of the Department of Nursing at Bowie State University on Sept. 10.
