Bowie State University received a $6.5 million gift from Elior Collegiate Dining to upgrade student services and modernize campus spaces under the Boldly Forward FY26-29 Strategic Plan.
The donation supports scholarships and renovations at the school and boosts its long tradition of excellence.

About 100 families were forced to leave Marylander Condominiums after vandalism caused the boiler system to fail before Thanksgiving, and Prince George’s County is coordinating with property management to secure emergency housing and begin costly repairs—Council member Wanika Fisher said her office is seeking aid from county and state agencies.
